FX-AHS FEARLESS
During my time at North Kingdom, we developed a strong relationship with the wonderful team at FX. We were honored to win a particular pitch that involved none other than the American Horror Story franchise. FX challenged us to create a virtual reality experience for ComicCon that would showcase the best of the American Horror Story series, highlighting each of the five seasons.
Comic Con VR fan experience
One of the major themes we aimed to protect during development was vulnerability. To achieve this, we worked within VR's restrictions and invited guests to lie down for the entire trip, experiencing five phobias, each tied to a season in the anthology.
Using the HTC Vive and Unreal Engine 4, we visualized five primal fears and attached them to each of the five seasons of AHS. A fear of heights, claustrophobia, burning alive, clowns and falling anchored each sequence as we took Comic Con goers through a completely new and visceral experience.
